it is very nice course - longer climbs than we just had but way less technical - I am stoked - The one section that sketched me out is not on the course in the dauset race.

You both should...  I am going to try to have my kids hand me bottles as I come in for a pit on the 6hr solo.  The trails will be wicked fast for you.  So a 2/3 person team is good.  4 people just wait too long for their turns.  Not much technical riding on these so just be warned.

there are plenty of "get your weight back and keep you hands off the brakes" down hill moments on this course

That BBQ place doesn't look like much, but it is probably the best in the land.

I'll pass.  My idea of BBQ is different then what GA peeps think it is.  I like my BBQ with a sweet taste.  This place only had that acidy, vinegar, salty bbq sauce that was just not my style.  It is the sause that supposibly made them famous but I just don't see it how.  Not my kind of BBQ taste. They only have pork too.  Don't go in asking for Chicken or Ribs or you get thrown out.  The plate of pork I ordered came with pulled pork that had been cooked early in the morning without any BBQ sauce on it.  You have to get it from the bottle on the table.  I like my meat cooked with the BBQ sause.  I guess I am different.

As you head back to Jackson from the trail head, there is a little Sandwish/convenience store on the corner next to the Outfitters/bike shop store in Indian Springs.  It is only 5 minutes from the Dauset TH.  They have killer healty sandwishes and other small meals.  But htey have this great seat down area in the back that it almost makes you think you way underdressed and too sweaty/smelly to be in there.  But they cator to bikers.  Check out the menu posted at hte Dauset TH.  Is call Pinky's Cafe.  Ask for Frankie Willis and say hi to her.  Tell her I told you about her place.  LOL....  Oh ask her if they have the single track ready from her place to Dauset TH.  She has several cattages for rent in that little town. Those white houses you see on the hills are hers and available to rent.

Carlos Mexican restaurant is great too..... Great guy and cheap prices for a TON of food.  Great beer and bar too...

it is really good - the architecture is funny - it started as a small shack and they keep adding to it.  it is like 4 separate buildings put together.  haha all built around the original shack.

Me and family are planning to go up and stay overnight this weekend and ride Sunday. Any ideas on where to stay? How is the trail?
