Topic: Alafia trail work day - Saturday November 17th

 Hey bike pedalers,
 Our highly successful Fat Tire Festival is over. Before the Festival, we removed accumulated riding hazards – creating safe and fun riding trails. Many riders congratulated our volunteers for excellent trail conditions in both parks. But, the trail work is never over – Alafia volunteers are still required.
 
 Banked turns (berms) are sweet – and make trails fast and flowing. This Saturday’s demonstration is “banked turn construction”. Berms require knowledge of turn radius, bank angle, sustainable construction and drainage control. The volunteers will construct two banked turns and also put their “drainage control” skills to use.This is “hands-on” skill training. You can also help with many other tasks requiring our attention.
 
 Your help keeps Alafia trails in excellent shape and construction of new features. Please REPLY/RSVP[/email] to volunteer on the 17^th and your lunch is guaranteed. Work parties and demonstration starts @8:30. Lunch @12:30. Afternoon shift @1:15. The Alafia State Park gate opens @8:00 and offers FREE admission on the day you volunteer.
