I tried using videos, but it really did'nt do it for me. Instead I studied both the Friel and Carmichael books and devised a personalized program for myself that fits me. I still set the trainer up in front of the T.V. as a distraction during warm up and cool downs, but in the middle of a set I am focused on variables like HR, cadence, power and pace. Some consider this boring, but watching those variables improve work out to work out keeps my attention
