Total newb to races, but I am interested in doing this. Where could I find out what the course map will be? Might be getting in a bit over my head, but thus far its just myself and a good buddy of mine....

41,
The Squiggy course will be made up from the trails betweem the Hillsborough river and the "Hole in the Fence". The exact course won't be flagged until the week of the race. Probably only a day or so prior. You will have an opportunity to ride it the night before if you wish. With that said, it is likely that it will follow the main trail in to the south and the will have Heartbreak Ridge on the way out. I would expect a mix of Piglet, Technopig, Hogwild, Grandpa, Palmetto, Gator bait, Indian and Washboard. The real question is how they will all be linked together.
None of those trails are particularly difficult, however you will need to be comfortable with roots, lots of roots.

I saw some people walk into technopig, with axes and garden hoes at the workday, so you never know.

Thanks Gregg. The roots aren't really much of a problem been a while since I rode there), its just maintaing a decent cadence and speed that I want to make sure that I can do through those trails. Wilderness/Flatwoods had taken a back seat lately to carter & alafia. I guess I need to get out there and see how I feel through heartbrake and indian and start experimenting with different bike setups.

No way! Technoc Pig needs to stay as it is. I hope they didn't go taking roots out. It is what it is. Not every trail needs to be smooth.

My registration is out and the check was cleared last week. I'll be running Men's solo beginners. My wife is going a bit crazy and is puchasing custom shirts for my pit crew (pit crew = wife/friends who will be eating/drinking while I punish myself for six hours).
Really looking forward to the race and meeting some new people out there.
